Pride and Prejudice Soundtrack Part 3 of 5


“Vanity and pride are two different things, if the words are often used as synonyms. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us. “Novels of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice (1813) has been the subject of numerous television and adaptations film. The court and the story concerns the marriage between the nobility of pre-industrial England, focusing on the pursuit of love against the pursuit of financial security and social status. The Oscar-nominated version was produced by Working Title Films, directed by Joe Wright and based on a scenario of Deborah Moggach. He was released September 16, 2005 in the United Kingdom and November 11, 2005 in the United States. It was filmed entirely on place across the UK in summer 2004 and used several homes, including Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and Wilton House in Salisbury (as Pemberley), Groombridge Place in Kent (as Longbourn), Basildon Park in Berkshire (as Netherfield Park) and Burghley House in Lincolnshire (as Rosings – the neighboring town of Stamford served Meryton).
